Yulin Yang​ ​

I am a medical sociologist and social demographer. My research interests include medical sociology, health disparities, aging and life course, urban studies and immigration, and quantitative methods. The overarching goal of my research is to understand multilevel social determinants of pain. You can find more about my research here.
My work has appeared in the Journals of Gerontology: Social Sciences, Social Science & Medicine, and Health Services Research, among others. My dissertation received University at Buffalo Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award and is nominated for the Council of Graduate Schools/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award.

I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher supported by the fellowship of Epidemiology in Aging at the University of California, San Francisco. Prior to joint UCSF, I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology from the University at Buffalo and completed my one-year postdoctoral training in Behavioral Geriactrics in Weill Cornell Medicine.
